Zizaniopsis miliacea (Water Millet, Giant Cutgrass)
Zizaniopsis miliacea, commonly known as Water Millet or Giant Cutgrass, is a perennial grass that is native to wetlands and marshes. It has long, strap-like leaves that can grow up to 10 feet in height. The plant produces large, fluffy seed heads that resemble millet, hence its common name. Water Millet is often used in wetland restoration projects to control erosion and provide habitat for wildlife.
