Vaccinium ovatum, commonly known as Coast or Evergreen Huckleberry, is a native evergreen shrub found in the Pacific Northwest region of North America. It has glossy green leaves that are leathery in texture, and in spring, small white or pink flowers bloom, followed by dark purple-black berries that are edible and attract wildlife. This slow-growing shrub prefers shady and moist habitats and is often found in coastal forests or mountainous areas.
