Trapa natans (Water Chestnut)

The Water Chestnut (Trapa natans) is an aquatic plant that floats on the surface of still or slow-moving freshwater bodies. It is known for its unique chestnut-like fruits that grow underwater. The leaves are green and triangular, and the plant has submerged roots that anchor it to the bottom. Water Chestnut plants can grow up to 2 meters in height and spread up to 5 meters in width.
