Tilia americana 'Sentry' (American Linden or American Basswood)

Tilia americana 'Sentry' is a cultivar of the American Linden tree (Tilia americana), also commonly known as American Basswood. It is a medium to large-sized deciduous tree with a pyramidal shape. The leaves are dark green and heart-shaped, turning yellow in the fall. It produces fragrant pale yellow flowers in the summer that attract bees. Tilia americana 'Sentry' is a popular landscape tree that provides excellent shade and is tolerant of urban conditions.
