Thuja plicata, commonly known as Western Red Cedar or Arborvitae, is a large evergreen tree native to Western North America. It has a narrow pyramidal shape with dense, dark green foliage that turns bronze in winter. The bark is reddish-brown and peels off in strips. It is a prized tree for its attractive appearance and aromatic wood.
