Thuja occidentalis (White Cedar)

Thuja occidentalis, commonly known as White Cedar or American/Eastern Arborvitae, is an evergreen coniferous tree native to the northeastern United States and southeastern Canada. It is a popular choice for hedging and screening due to its dense foliage and conical shape. The leaves are scale-like and the bark is reddish-brown in color. The tree can grow up to 50-70 feet in height and 15-20 feet in width.
