Taxodium mucronatum (Montezuma Cypress)

The Taxodium mucronatum, commonly known as the Montezuma Cypress, is a large, deciduous coniferous tree native to Mexico. It features a broad, conical shape with attractive foliage that starts off bright green in spring, turning yellowish-brown in the fall. It is known for its unique buttressed trunk that provides stability in wet soil conditions. This majestic tree can reach heights of up to 50 feet and spread up to 40 feet wide.
