Tasmannia lanceolata (Mountain Pepper)

Tasmannia lanceolata, commonly known as Mountain Pepper, is a shrub that belongs to the family Drymys. It is native to various regions of Southeast Australia, including Tasmania, Victoria, and New South Wales. This evergreen shrub can reach a height of up to 10 feet and has a spread of about 6 feet. The leaves of Tasmannia lanceolata are lance-shaped, glossy, and dark green, while the small white flowers bloom in clusters. The plant produces small black berries that are known for their peppery flavor, hence the common name 'Mountain Pepper'.
