Spigelia marilandica, commonly known as Indian Pink or Woodland Pinkroot, is a perennial herbaceous plant in the family Loganiaceae. It is native to eastern North America and is known for its showy, bright red tubular flowers with yellow throats that bloom from late spring to early summer. Indian Pink prefers moist, well-drained soils and is often found in woodland areas. It grows to a height of about 1 to 2 feet and can spread to a width of 1 to 1.5 feet.
