Sophora secundiflora (Texas Mountain Laurel)

Sophora secundiflora, commonly known as Texas Mountain Laurel, is a small evergreen tree native to the southwestern United States. It is characterized by its aromatic dark green leaves and dense clusters of fragrant violet flowers that bloom in the spring. The flowers of Texas Mountain Laurel resemble those of the wisteria plant and are a favorite of bees and butterflies. This slow-growing tree can reach a height of 25 feet and has a compact, rounded form. It is an excellent choice for xeriscapes or as an ornamental tree in gardens.
