Sempervivum tectorum 'calcareum' (Hen and Chicks)
Sempervivum tectorum 'calcareum', commonly known as Hen and Chicks, is a hardy succulent plant that forms rosettes of thick and fleshy leaves. Each rosette produces numerous offsets, or 'chicks', which cluster around the 'hen' rosette. The leaves are green, often with reddish or pink tips, and have a powdery coating. This plant is drought-tolerant and thrives in rock gardens, containers, or as ground cover. It is a low-growing perennial, reaching a height of about 4-6 inches and spreading up to 12 inches wide.
