Scrophularia macrantha, commonly known as Redbirds in a Tree or NM Figwort, is a perennial herbaceous plant. It belongs to the Figwort family (Scrophulariaceae) and is native to the southwestern United States. The plant features dense clusters of small, reddish-orange flowers that resemble birds perched on a branch, hence the common name. Redbirds in a Tree can grow up to 2-3 feet tall and wide, forming a bushy clump of dark green leaves. It prefers full sun to partial shade in well-draining soil.
