Scirpus lacustris (Bullrush aquatic)
Scirpus lacustris, commonly known as Bullrush aquatic, is a perennial wetland plant that grows in shallow water or very moist soils. It forms dense clumps of erect stems that can reach a height of 3-9 feet. The plant has long, narrow, grass-like leaves and cylindrical flower spikes that appear in late summer. It is commonly found in marshes, bogs, and along the edges of ponds and lakes.
