Quercus kelloggii (California Black Oak)

The Quercus kelloggii, commonly known as the California Black Oak, is a large deciduous tree native to California. It typically grows between 40 to 50 feet in height and spreads outwards to a width of 30 to 40 feet. The tree is known for its dark, deeply furrowed bark and large, lobed leaves. It thrives in a variety of soil types and is often found in dry, open woodlands and slopes.
