Quercus canbyi, commonly known as Sierra Red Oak or Mexican White Oak, is a medium-sized evergreen tree. This oak species is native to Mexico and the southwestern United States. It features glossy, dark green leaves and attractive reddish-brown bark. The Sierra Red Oak can reach a height of 30 to 60 feet and a width of 20 to 40 feet. It is commonly grown in USDA hardiness zone 7 and prefers well-drained soils.
