Pyracantha coccinea 'Red Elf' (Dwarf Firethorn)

The Pyracantha coccinea 'Red Elf', also known as the Dwarf Firethorn, is a compact, bushy, evergreen shrub with sharp thorns. It displays glossy, dark green leaves and in late spring to early summer, it bears clusters of white flowers which are followed by bright red berries in the fall. It is an excellent choice for low hedges or ground cover and it attracts birds.
