Prosopis alba (Argentine Mesquite)
Prosopis alba, commonly known as Argentine Mesquite or Algarrobo Blanco, is a thorny deciduous tree native to South America. It has a spreading, irregular crown and can reach a height of 30 feet. The tree produces small, yellowish flowers that are followed by slender, light brown seed pods. The wood of the Argentine Mesquite is highly valued for its durability and is often used in construction.
