Pinus sylvestris (Scotch Pine)
Pinus sylvestris, commonly known as Scotch Pine, is a coniferous evergreen tree native to Europe and Asia. It is a medium to large-sized tree with an erect, pyramidal growth habit. The bark is orange-brown and develops thick ridges with age. The dark green needles are arranged in pairs and are about 2-4 cm long. Scotch Pine produces woody cones that are ovoid in shape and are around 4-7 cm long.
