Opuntia versicolor, commonly known as Staghorn or Buckhorn Cholla Cactus, is a species of cactus native to the Southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. This species is known for its distinctive segmented growth pattern with spiny stems that resemble the antlers of a stag. The stems are green in color and can reach heights of up to 6 feet. The plant produces beautiful yellow flowers that bloom in the spring and are followed by red fruits.
