Opuntia subulata (Mexican Hedge Cholla Cactus)

Opuntia subulata, commonly known as Mexican Hedge Cholla Cactus, is a species of cactus native to Mexico. It has long, cylindrical stems covered with small, sharp spines. The stems are green when young, turning beige or brown as they age. This cactus produces vibrant magenta flowers in the spring, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies. It can reach a height of up to 10 feet, with a spread of about 4 feet.
