Opuntia strobiliformis (Paper Spine Cactus)

Opuntia strobiliformis, commonly known as the Paper Spine Cactus, is a species of cacti native to Mexico. It has distinctive flat pads covered in tiny papery spines, hence the common name. These cacti are known for their unique spherical shape when young, which becomes more elongated as they mature. The pads are green and turn purple in colder temperatures.
