Nassella/Pipa ramosissima (Pillar of Smoke grass)
Nassella (formerly Stipa) ramosissima, commonly known as Pillar of Smoke grass, is an ornamental grass that adds graceful movement to the landscape. It features slender, arching stems that are covered in feathery, silver-green foliage. In late summer, the plant produces airy, plume-like flowerheads that emerge in shades of purple, fading to a smoky silver color. This grass is drought-tolerant and deer-resistant.
