Melampodium leucanthum (Blackfoot Daisy)

Melampodium leucanthum, commonly known as Blackfoot Daisy, is a perennial herb native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It features showy white daisy-like flowers with yellow centers that bloom abundantly from spring to fall. The plant has dark green finely divided leaves that give it a unique and delicate appearance. Blackfoot Daisy is a low-growing plant that forms mounds, reaching a height of about 6-12 inches and spreading up to 12-18 inches wide.
