Malvaviscus penduliflorus (Wax Mallow, Turk's Cap)

Malvaviscus penduliflorus, commonly known as Wax Mallow or Turk's Cap, is a species of flowering shrub in the mallow family. It is native to the southern United States and parts of Mexico. The plant features showy, pendulous, scarlet flowers that resemble a turban or cap, with long, protruding stamens. It is a popular choice for attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. Wax Mallow grows to a height of 6-8 feet and spreads about 4-6 feet wide.
