Malvaviscus arboreus (Turk's Cap)

Malvaviscus arboreus, commonly known as Turk's Cap, is a flowering shrub native to the southern United States, Mexico, and South America. It produces bright red flowers that resemble a cap or turban, hence the common name. The flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies and bloom from late spring to fall.
