Malosma laurina (Laurel Sumac, Lentisco)

Malosma laurina, commonly known as Laurel Sumac or Lentisco, is a native plant to California and Baja California. It is a drought-tolerant, evergreen shrub that grows up to 10 feet tall and 6 feet wide. The plant has glossy, dark green leaves that emit a pleasant fragrance when crushed. It produces small clusters of white flowers in the spring followed by red berries in the fall, which are attractive to birds.
