Magnolia macrophylla asheii (Bigleaf Magnolia)
The Bigleaf Magnolia, or Magnolia macrophylla asheii, is a large deciduous tree native to the southeastern United States. It is known for its enormous leaves, which measure up to 30 inches long and 12 inches wide. The leaves provide a lush and tropical appearance to any landscape. In early summer, the Bigleaf Magnolia produces creamy white, fragrant flowers that can reach up to a foot in diameter.
