Leucothoe axillaris (Doghobble, Coastal Leucothoe)

Leucothoe axillaris, commonly known as Doghobble or Coastal Leucothoe, is an evergreen shrub native to the southeastern United States. It features glossy, leathery leaves that are arranged alternately along arching stems. In the spring, it produces small, fragrant white flowers that attract pollinators. Doghobble can reach a height of 3-6 feet with a spread of 4-8 feet.
