Larrea tridentata (Chaparral, Creosote Bush)
Larrea tridentata, commonly known as Chaparral or Creosote Bush, is a tough and resilient evergreen shrub native to arid regions of southwestern North America. It has small, dark green leaves that are covered in a waxy resin, giving the plant a distinctive creosote-like scent when warmed by the sun. The plant produces bright yellow flowers in spring and occasionally after a summer rain. It is well adapted to desert conditions and is known for its ability to tolerate extreme temperatures and drought.
