Ilex decidua, commonly known as Possumhaw Holly, is a deciduous shrub or small tree that belongs to the Aquifoliaceae family. It is native to the southeastern United States and is known for its attractive red berries and smooth gray bark. The leaves are an appealing dark green color in spring and summer, turning yellow in the fall before dropping off. Possumhaw Holly typically reaches heights of 7-15 feet and spreads to widths of 6-12 feet.
