Hyophorbe lagenicaulis (Palmiste Gargoulette)

Hyophorbe lagenicaulis, commonly known as Palmiste Gargoulette or Bottle Palm, is a unique and attractive palm tree native to the Mascarene Islands. It gets its name from its unique bottle-shaped trunk. This slow-growing palm has a single trunk topped with a crown of arching, feather-like fronds. It can reach a height of up to 10 meters.
