Glyceria grandis (Reed/American Mannagrass)
Glyceria grandis, commonly known as Reed or American Mannagrass, is a perennial grass native to North America. It forms dense tufts of upright foliage, with slender green leaves that can reach up to 3 feet in length. In summer, it produces tall arching flower spikes that are adorned with feathery panicles of flowers. This species is often found in wetland habitats, such as marshes, swamps, and along the edges of ponds and streams.
