Gleditsia caspica, commonly known as Caspian Locust or Persian Honeylocust, is a deciduous tree native to Iran and Azerbaijan. It is a medium-sized tree with a spreading canopy and thorny branches. The leaves are pinnately compound with small leaflets that create a delicate appearance. In the spring, the tree produces fragrant yellow flowers that give way to long, twisted seed pods.
