Fraxinus pennsylvanica (Green Ash)
Fraxinus pennsylvanica, commonly known as Green Ash, is a deciduous tree native to North America. It has a straight trunk with a rounded crown and can reach a height of 50-60 feet. The leaves are compound, with five to nine leaflets that turn yellow in the fall. The tree produces inconspicuous flowers in spring, followed by clusters of winged seeds called samaras. Green Ash is a popular shade tree and is tolerant of urban conditions.
