Firmiana simplex (Varnish Tree, Chinese Parasol Tree)

Firmiana simplex, commonly known as the Varnish Tree or Chinese Parasol Tree, is a deciduous tree native to China and Taiwan. It is known for its large, umbrella-like canopy and beautiful varnished appearance on the trunk. The leaves are palmate with five to nine lobes, turning vibrant shades of red and orange in the fall. The tree produces small yellow flowers that grow in clusters, followed by brown, winged seeds. It can reach a height of 30-45 feet.
