Ferocactus wislizenii (Fishhook Barrell Cactus)

Ferocactus wislizenii, commonly known as the Fishhook Barrell Cactus, is a species of cactus native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. It is characterized by its cylindrical shape and hooked spines, which give it its common name. This slow-growing cactus can reach heights of up to 4 feet and has a diameter of about 2 feet. It produces vibrant yellow flowers in the summer.
