Ferocactus covelii (Barrel Cactus)

Ferocactus covelii, commonly known as Barrel Cactus, is a species of cactus native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It has a distinct barrel-shaped body covered in sharp spines that are arranged in rows. The cactus produces bright yellow flowers with red centers in the summer, attracting bees and birds. It is a slow-growing and drought-tolerant plant that thrives in dry, rocky environments.
