Fagus sylvatica 'Riversii', commonly known as European Beech, is a deciduous tree that features a compact, dense, and upright growth habit. It has glossy, deep purple leaves that emerge in spring and turn into a rich greenish-purple during summer. In fall, the leaves turn a beautiful copper color. It is a slow-growing tree that can reach a mature height of 60 to 80 feet and a width of 40 to 60 feet.
