Euscaphis japonicus (Sweetheart Tree)
Euscaphis japonicus, commonly known as Sweetheart Tree, is a deciduous tree native to Japan. It typically grows as a multi-stemmed tree, reaching heights of 15 to 25 feet. The tree gets its name from the heart-shaped leaves that turn a beautiful array of colors in the fall, ranging from orange to red. In the summer, the tree produces clusters of small flowers that give way to ornamental fruits. Sweetheart Tree is a great addition to any garden or landscape, adding color and interest throughout the seasons.
