Dryopteris remota, also known as Remote Wood Fern, is a semi-evergreen fern native to North America. It has delicate, feathery fronds that emerge from a central crown and can reach a height of 2 to 3 feet. This fern prefers shady, moist woodland environments and is often found growing in rocky crevices or along streams. The Remote Wood Fern is hardy in USDA planting zones 4 to 8.
