Diospyros digyna (Black Sapote, Persimmon, Chocolate Pudding Fruit)

Diospyros digyna, commonly known as Black Sapote, Persimmon, or Chocolate Pudding Fruit, is a species of tropical evergreen tree in the family Ebenaceae. It is native to Mexico and Central America. The fruit of this tree is round and green when unripe, turning dark brown or black when fully ripe. It has a custard-like texture with a rich, chocolatey flavor, hence the name Chocolate Pudding Fruit.
