Chorisia speciosa, commonly known as Pink Kapok or Floss Silk Tree, is a deciduous tree with showy pink flowers. The tree is native to South America and is known for its tall, upright growth habit and thorny trunk. The pink flowers bloom in late fall and are followed by large, spiky seed pods that contain cotton-like fibers.
