Carex elata/stricta (Sedge/Tufted grass)

The Carex elata/stricta, commonly known as Sedge or Tufted grass, is a perennial grass-like plant with narrow, arching leaves. It forms dense clumps and produces cylindrical flower spikes that are brown in color. This plant is commonly found in wetland areas and is ideal for creating natural-looking garden borders or as a ground cover. It grows up to a height of 1 to 3 feet and spreads about 1 to 2 feet wide.
