Bignonia capreolata, commonly known as Trumpetflower or Crossvine, is a woody vine native to the southeastern United States. It is a fast-growing climber that can reach a height of 30 feet or more. The plant produces twining stems that cling to structures or climb by twining through nearby vegetation. It is known for its showy, trumpet-shaped flowers that bloom in spring and attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Crossvine is also valued for its dark green foliage that turns reddish-purple in fall.
