The Paper Birch, also known as White Birch or Canoe Birch, is a medium-sized deciduous tree native to North America. It is renowned for its striking white bark that peels off in thin layers, exposing a smooth orange-brown bark underneath. The leaves are alternate, ovate, and serrated. In the fall, the foliage turns a vibrant yellow color. It typically grows between 50 to 70 feet in height and has a moderate width. It is suitable for hardiness zones 2 and up.
