Berberis gyalaica, commonly known as Barberry, is a small deciduous shrub native to the Gyala region of Tibet. It is known for its thorny branches and clusters of bright yellow flowers that bloom in the spring. The plant produces small red berries in the summer, which are favored by birds. It has a dense growth habit and typically grows to a height of 3-4 feet with a spread of 2-3 feet.
