Baptisia lactea, commonly known as White False Indigo, is a wildflower native to North America. It is a perennial herb that belongs to the pea family, Fabaceae. The plant produces tall, erect stems with clusters of white flowers that resemble pea blossoms. These flowers are followed by green seedpods that turn brown as they mature.
