Bambusa tuldoides ventricosa, commonly known as Buddha's Belly Bamboo, is a unique looking bamboo species characterized by its swollen internodes that resemble the belly of the Buddha. This variety of bamboo is native to southern China and can reach heights of up to 50 feet (15 meters). The swollen segments give the plant a distinctive appearance and make it a popular choice for ornamental gardens or as a privacy screen. Buddha's Belly Bamboo thrives in tropical and subtropical climates and can form dense clumps that spread horizontally, reaching widths of around 15 feet (4.5 meters).
