Attalea cohume (American Oil Palm)

The American Oil Palm, scientifically known as Attalea cohume, is a large palm tree native to tropical rainforests of Central and South America. It is characterized by its tall slender trunk, large feathery leaves, and clusters of small fruits. The palm produces a high-quality oil, making it economically important for commercial oil production. It can reach heights of up to 60 feet with a spread of about 30 feet.
