Aster shortii (Short's Aster)

Aster shortii, commonly known as Short's Aster, is a lovely wildflower with light purple flowers. It is native to North America and can be found in open woods, meadows, and prairies. This perennial plant blooms in late summer to early fall and attracts butterflies and bees. It grows up to 2 feet tall and 1 foot wide, forming compact mounds of foliage.
